Self-Driving Ransomware
What will happen when ransomware infects self-driving vehicles? Is this now a hostage situation in a digital world?
There's speculation that recent ransomware that infected the British NHS "escaped" out of the laboratory. The speculation was based on the quality of the code and the fact that the ransomware had an "off" switch.
What happens when a more malicious attacker decides to target or go after self-driving vehicles?
This is precisely why I advocate for encrypting and securing our vehicles with blockchain tech.
Targeting vehicles through unsecured connections is nothing new video
Interesting. What will blockchain technology be able to help plug low level security holes or even attacks against deep learning?
Encryption for all communications that interact with the vehicle to secure it from outside commands would be my starting point.
Your key to operate could be your steemit private key or some other token.
Would also allow for ledger to be implemented to record all interactions commands, updates etc, locally.
Secure your remote commands, it goes on and on.
