In the future, you won't need a car.
In the future, if you want to go to the mall, or to a doctor's appointment, or wherever, just pull up the "summon car" app on your smart phone, and click "summon car."
The nearest, self-driving, general-use fleet car will then arrive, pick you up and will take you to your destination.
Once you're dropped off, the car will go park itself, or head out to pick up the next summoning customer.
You won't have to worry about parking, auto insurance, repair bills or fueling up.
For "rush hour" traffic, there will be a fleet of self-driving, multi-passenger shuttles, modeled after the old bus and rail lines to bring passengers to convenient, central locations throughout the cities.
It's gonna happen - so buckle up and enjoy the ride.
Would be really great. But I think it will take a couple of years until we are there.
