Use one of those platforms and make a public post saying that you are verifying the steemit account @oliver-janich

To destroy Facebook however you would have to destroy not only apathy but a whole range of psychological issues or attributes many folks are dealing with. So that statement is a bit too optimistic in my eyes - however I secretly hope your optimism is manifestable ;-)
I don't see any possibility to add a profile picture or even just to add the real full name. Is this not how this works? When I registered and put my real name as user name, the system said that it is too long, therefore I put my initials.
Same with me. I tried "-" and that worked. As far as i know you cannot yet add a picture. Guess, they are working on it.

I don't think you can change profile pictures. They used to pull in whatever you had on Facebook. If you want a picture in your post above take an iPhone pic ( preferably with you holding a piece of paper wth steemit and the date) then go to https://imgsafe.org upload pic from phone, hit on the image ( it opens a window) then copy link from window into your post . The picture will automatically show up
I just uploaded a profile picture to a server and put the link to it in the Steemit settings. Worked perfectly.

Ich finde die ganze Aufmachung ist furchtbar unstrukturiert, man findet keinen Zugang! Kann keine Beitraege "moegen" und scheinbar keine Freunde anklicken oder suchen.....Oder ich versteh's einfach nicht... Es erscheint einem ein schwarz in weissem Einheitsbrei auf dem Bildschirm, vollkommen farblos, orientierungslos, dass man sich eigentlich nur verlieren kann! Empfinde nur ich das so oder haben andere aehnliche Eindruecke? Waere ja schoen wenn das zumindest den Maas veranlasst seine verschissenen Finger von anderer Menschen Meinung zu lassen, seh ich aber jetzt auch nicht wirklich!?!?!
Ist ja noch in der Beta Phase - wird wohl bald besser
Das 'mögen' heißt auf Steemit 'upvote'. Unter jedem Beitrag ist unten links ein Kreis mit einem Dach in der Mitte. Das ist das Steemit-Pendant des 'Like Button' auf Gesichtsbuch.
Wahlweise kann man auch busy.org nutzen. Das ist von der Aufmachung her ähnlich wie GesichtsBuch und von der Struktur ähnlich wie Zwitscher. Alle Einstellungen von Steemit bleiben dabei erhalten.
Befass dich mal bitte mit dem Thema Flache Erde - Ich würde dir gerne ein paar interessante Infos zukommen lassen. Bräuchte deine E-Mail
