From Seed To Fruit Update 4 - Apples

We're back for a fourth instalment on the apple seedlings and have some great news. The second seedling in the cup has broken through the top layer of soil. Thanks to @kenny-crane we now have a wonderfully apt name for the first seedling. I knight thee, Sir Johnny Appleseed his namesake being John Chapman. Following on in this vain the second apple seed will hereby be known as Patty Appleseed named for John's sister.

Day 7

Look. It's moving. It's alive. IT'S ALIVEEEE!.

Johnny is looking strong.

Little sis, keeping big bro company.

Day 8

Stretching upwards and outwards.

Up close and personal.

The difference a day can make, Patty is shooting for the sky.

Day 9

Patty is a little yellow looking, hope it's nothing to worry about.

Light touch.

Looks like Johnny's second leaves are starting to come in.

It's fascinating, every time I change the position of the cup, Johnny and Patty bend towards the light changing shape and directional growth. I had no idea that plants did this. Makes sense though.
