RE: Pay to Bypass Airport Security... What could go wrong?
A free TSA Precheck was one of the perks Chase offered on their new card Sapphire Reserve a year ago. The interview was easy, just because they already did your background check through the application process. You still have to get in a long lines on your way to fly out, without worrying about your shoes, belt and laptop which is not such a big deal. The best part comes after you land and on your way out of the airport- no lines to go through the emigration check, no questions and moody emigration officers ... It literally took me no more than 10 minutes to get out of the airport in the busiest season after long and exhausting flight. Only problem is that not all the airports have it.
I don't think TSA Precheck would cause problems in the security just because they already checked your background, you are in their system and they know everything about you ( mother, father, schools, adresses, jobs, another citizenships, other passport numbers), basically everything about your life in the last 10 years. That is not an issue for me because I don't have anything to hide or to be concerned about.
