World of Stupidity - Part 1

I have been kinda tired of people, events and of the world in general, and would like share my opinions on various topics.This will be a series of posts, if I do not feel too lazy to continue...

We all know the attacks in Manchester and Jakarta recently (if you are seeing Jakarta attacks for the first time here, yes, you are also part of the stupidity... sorry). So let me start with these events, from one perspective: security checks in daily life..

If you are living in a big city or somewhere near any of conflict areas, possibly you have encountered these "checks". They may stop you and ask you to show your ID card, X-ray your bags, confiscate your water bottle, ask you to drink from your bottle (so they can be sure that you are not carrying something bad )and so on. I have a question for your then... Do you really think these are the proper ways to "secure" people? Feel free to reply this post with your ideas... Because I am quite curious what others are thinking and if I am alone in the way I think.

Personally, I think these kind of checks are mostly useless. Think of a terrorist. As he/she knows that they X-ray your bag, would they put their TNT in the bags? Or carry some chemical in a water bottle if they know that those are checked? And how about the random ID checks on the streets? If you are wearing a bit different or having a different style like a beard or some other symbols on you, they will stop and ask you show your ID so they can check your criminal history on some POS-like machines. If you are wearing a suit, well-shaved or have trendy style, you will never be stopped to show your ID (at least I have never seen or encountered such thing).

Our security measures are flawed and heavily biased... Instead of realising this and trying to think of different methods, we are just making these flaws and biases stronger with each attack.

Summary: We do not have a security problem, we have a stupidity problem.
