Police are like biorobots. They follow whatever they law says.
They have double standards, zero logical thinking and zero self integrity.
If they help someone it is becasue the law says so and they have orders and duty to do so.
If the law says to harm innocent protester or spy on somoene or even excute someone for being anti government activist, then they will do it as it is their duty.
If the law said to cut someone's arm for stealing a sandwich, they would do so right away.
They are nothing more but machines, deluded by the distorted sense of justice.
It takes specific psychological makeup for someone to be willing to perform such work. Requires certain cognitive handicap.

I could assure you that any cop you have befreinded would right away turn on you if the law changed and claimed that your actions, which had been legal before, have suddenly become illegal now.
