Store your coins securely on KeepKey hardware Wallet FULL TUTORIAL

KeepKey is an hardware wallet which lets you keep your BTC/LTC/DOGE/ETH (for now!) safe even if you connect the device to a hacked computer.

With value of cryptocurrency going higher and higher it is good to think of securing your money since nobody will do this for you.

If you are from USA/CA the best way to buy KeepKey is directly from their site KeepKey and if you are from EU the cheapest way due to VAT/import taxes is from http://bitcoinshopper.net/

Here is initial guide for KeepKey Wallets with pictures on the usage. Its pretty simple and straight-forward itself but just to make you calm let me guide you.

1. Whats inside ?!

You get kind of leather-a-like box, KeepKey, somethign to hold it, infor/warranty papers and USB cable

2. Downlaod Apps or Choose prefered Wallets

You can use Multibit HD (recently bought by Keepkey), Electrum or their Google Chrome addons - KeepKey Wallet and KeepKey Proxy - Up to You!

3. Connect

In this example im using their Chrome Addons, which allow you to store not just BTC but also other coins and exchange them on the fly by themselves. If you want to store just BTC you can go with your usual Multibit/Electrum.
I have made BTC and LTC account.

4. Make currency accounts

Just go and add accounts. Simple as that. You can make empty accounts to get ETH DOGE LTC or BTC in future even if you hold none now.

5. Send/Deposit BTC

You can view all transactions log for any coins of your choose.

6. Exchange BTC/LTC/DOGE/ETH into each other

Due to integration with Spaheshift you can click 1 wallet ie BTC and decide to send some amount to ie your LTC wallet. Shapeshift will on the fly exchange BTC into LTC and deposit to your safe hardware wallet. You are not leaving wallet for a second everythign happends in the background.
