Gerardo Barrios joins EOS Costa Rica as Network Security Engineer

As we move along this incredible journey, we are consistently amazed by the talent and enthusiasm that we meet along the way inspired by the possibilities that EOS presents for the future. With that in mind, it's an honor to welcome Gerardo Barrios to our ever-growing EOS team!

Gerardo plays a leading role designing and implementing the dedicated servers, routers, switches and secured private networks required for our EOS Block Producer cluster. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from the University of Costa Rica. He has 10+ years working at the enterprise level with high-profile clients like Pfizer Pharmaceutical and Bank of America. He is a Network Security Engineer for AT&T in Costa Rica where he works as a Level 3 Network Security Engineer. He has vast experience configuring, implementing and troubleshooting Cisco-Checkpoint Firewalls, Tipping Point IPS, Websense-BlueCoat Proxies and web-filtering appliances . He also manages Linux and Unix servers. Gerardo is a long time crypto enthusiast and of course a big fan of EOS.
