If you are using too much computer and doing several confidential activities or you dont wanna share that data from your computer then the firewall is recommended for your computer. Dont ever thing that it is firewall software is the key. Let me clear to you guys the firewall software itself is not the key, only the rules and monitoring of the logs is the key. After at all some firewalls make doing the important parts a lot easier than others. Here here i am showing that how firewall means different things to different people.

Remember the firewall consists of two types one is local connection- for example your computer in your office that cannected only in your company network. The other type of firewall is over world wide web that is very important because without it your system is highly unsafe. Here, "unsafe" word i've denoted to suspicious activies like hacking, spamming, phishing and much more. Hope you understand types of these firewall. Now i am gonna describe the actual work of the firewall in simple words. I am describing the firewall after describing the types because i think now the meaning of firewall will much understandable now. As you know in modern world, without internet the world can't going forward. So, to prevent all these things it inspects and blocks network traffic according to a complex ruleset. While machines in your network should have local firewall software installed, network firewalls are generally appliances or dedicated machines that act as perimeters to enclaves of machines that presumably trust each other. Currently, to get external firewalls i am using bitdefender. Recently i've also tried other secuity firewall systems including Trend micro titanium, avast, norton, quickheal. After using these all security systems i only suggest you only Avast, Trend Micro titanium and Bitdefender. May be other security system could be better but as per my opinion these three are best. Now let me tell you about linux based firewall. inux-based firewalls actually use iptables, regardless of which brand of appliance it is or what software it's running. Remember one my friends, network firewalls generally have rules that cause them to log traffic that was blocked. Because there’s a lot of bad stuff out there, network firewalls tend to produce a lot of log traffic. It’s important to have something look through that log traffic to find evidence of more intelligent or concerted attacks. In case of windows firewall, it using 3rd party security software system. And built-in firewall for users......has a horrible user interface. Most of the Windows versions (when you buying actually not free downloading windows) third-party firewall software is integrated with endpoint protection, anti-virus, or anti-malware suites. In case of local firewall, It is just a set of simple network traffic rules and more complex network access controls for applications.
