This might help you when you want to sign up to a service but they want your email address. I can see other uses for it for people who want to be very private. It seems to work quite well, and hopefully will stay free.

This is cool service but its really just a time limited mailinator.com. With mailinator the only way to be secure it is to use a really obscure name as with that service your email is viewable to any one that looks for the user name you used. However, in reality that is usually good enough. Since most of the time you're just trying to gain access to a site that wants to harvest you email to spam you later anyway. If you don't leave any identifiable info on that site, who cares if others can read the sign up email. Mailinator also creates your account automatically when it receives a message for that account. So its a bit quicker than 10minutemail.
The real problem with mailinator.com was that sites caught on to this and started blocking the mailinator.com domain. For a while mailinator used a multitude of domain names but soon those were all blocked as well. I think they are blocking on the IP and not the domain now. So a fresh domain name will not fix things any more. I suspect that 10minutemail will go the same way fairly quickly as these sites need good emails to make money and they will detect this work around when those emails are not any good for spamming.
But it is a cool service and I wish it well!!!
