Genetically Modified Humans

Anything we are capable of, you can bet on it that we are doing it.
We can successfully genetically modify a tomato to have traits of a fish. Do you really think we're not modifying humans on the genetic level? Of course, they won't tell the general public about it. Can you blame them? What you know, is what you're allowed to know. What you don't know, you only catch a glimpse of in the form of imagination.
We see hints of what goes on behind the curtains in this world through media outlets such as the news, and movies.
You can't expect the people who make up the rules to follow their own rules. Never. It's a universal truth. God doesn't worship God, Parents don't get grounded, police go over the speed limit, and inhumane human testing goes on in secret.

That's how it is though. Stop thinking you're an equal. You're not. Rules were made not to make your life better. They are made to make your life predictable. Rules are the guardrails to herd you from place to place without giving them trouble.
How long will you go on believing you matter? Patting each other on the back seeking approval from your equally unappreciated approval seeking neighbor?
I am not trying to depress you. Just realize that your influence on the world is superficial. You're playing with dolls while the grown ups are randomly picking people to see if their bodies can handle injections that will cause mutations, testing live unprotected humans in the vacuum of space, testing copious doses of LSD on soldiers (oh wait, that one slipped into public knowledge), testing, testing, testing.
