RE: SeasonChallenge 3 - Monochrome Autumn and poetry
A beautiful post inspired by autumn and a good idea to add a poem. I have the opportunity to see what a fall without the green color of the forest would look like. It fits with Haloween.
Thank you, my friend. I really like monochrome shots and I was experimenting different edits this week.
And the Romantic era of poetry is perfectly fit with this Halloween madness. 🙂
I wanted to post "Plumb" by George Bacovia but it is kind of too grim. 🙂
You made spectacular edits. I do not know how to do that.
I do not think Romanian poets can be well translated and understood. I once posted a poem by Eminescu ... there was no one impressed.
Thank you. I'm glad you like it.
It is not very hard to do these edits. If you have the right app and you do some practice, everything will go smoothly. 🙂
Perhaps the translation you found was not very good. The English version of "Plumb", the one I wanted to post today, was absolutely horror. The worse translation ever, just words thrown on a page and the only thing the translator had in mind was to match the Ro words with their translation. No intrrpretation whatsoever.
Maybe this is why that poem did not impress, you found a bad translation.
Yes, apps. These applications are miraculous and very many. You're right, you gotta have the right one.
Translations are difficult for poetry.
