FUNCTIONS OF THE MOONSCAPE BUILDINGS

Over the last few months, we have been ringing loud banging bells in and outside of the Seascape community about Moonscape. This will be one of the biggest play-to-earn games of the year. You don't need to think if you'll want, I mean, Of course! You will want to play this. This is one of those yes games that you cannot resist to spur you up.

Many preparations are going on in the Seascape community as the game is in its final stages of development, awaiting release. If others are getting prepped, why shouldn't you? Gladly, I am here for you. Just call me your hype-man or motivator. Let's get this!

In this piece, I'll explain the different buildings in Moonscape. It is essential to know that buildings play a vital role in your survival and dominance on the moon. Learning about them and their functions is good preparation and put you at a good advantage over other players on the moon.

BUILDINGS ON MOONSCAPE

There are eight different buildings in the Moonscape game; they are:

• Transaction Square

• The Refinery

• Industry Inc.

• Resource Corp

• Power Plant

• Asset Mill

• Capital Forge Construction Complex

Each building has both a DeFi Function and a Gameplay Function.

DeFi Function: This function aids the use of blockchain and crypto processes in the game, which in turn helps users earn DeFi and crypto-related rewards. There are three core DeFi functions in the moonscape game: Single Token Staking, LP Staking, and NFT Staking. The other is the MSCP staking function that rewards users with Moondust, the in-game resource.

Gameplay Function: This function is required for the smooth running of the game. The gameplay functions are Rover Research, City Defense, Resource Extraction and Mining Research.

Note that a building can have only one DeFi and one Gameplay Function. To assess the various DeFi and Gameplay functions, you must construct a building that allows the use of that function.

Functions Of Each Building

Now let's explore the function lineup for each building.

Building Name: DeFi Function — Gameplay Function

Transaction Square: Single Token Staking — Rover Research

The Refinery: NFT Staking — City Defense

Industry Inc.: Single Token Staking — Resource Extraction

Resource Corp: LP Staking and Mining Research

Power Plant: NFT Staking — Resource Extraction

Asset Mill: LP Staking — Rover Research

Capital Forge: LP Staking — Mining Research.

Construction Complex: Burn MSCP — Stake MSCP for Moondust.

Gameplay Functions Explained

Rover Research — Available in Transaction Square and Asset Mill.

Offence allows you to improve attacks, causing you to inflict greater damage when attacking rival cities or aliens. Meanwhile, the Rate of Fire (RoF) allows for faster attacks and less delay between onslaughts.

Precision will open the upgrades for Accuracy that will make it easier for you to hit the target and do critical damage. And finally, you have Missiles, super special weapons stronger than regular attacks.

Resistance is all about survival, with Durability making your rover more resistant to damage. Speed helps you move faster throughout the map and attack cities.

City Defenses — Available only in The Refinery.

When another player attacks your city, the gameplay is in the hands of the attacker, but there are measures to help you stay prepared.

Using the City Defenses function, you can boost several aspects of your city's defences, repelling would-be invaders with your firepower. There is only one building with this function, The Refinery, and such function must be built once per city. Without this building, your city won't be able to improve its defences, meaning that every defensive skill will remain at level 1.

Essential info to know regarding your city defences is as follows:

Dome, which reduces the interval of time during which the city is unprotected;

Damage, which will increase the damage inflicted by your defensive turrets;

Range will make the distance of fire of your turrets longer, rending them able to reach the enemy rover no matter where they are;

Speed will turn the battlefield into a bullet hell, showering your opening with unstoppable blasts;

Hidden Mines will put several mines on the field that the enemy won't be able to see, and once they step on them, doom is almost certain.

Mining Research — Available in Resource Corp and Capital Forge.

You will need to use excavators to extract them from the resource points to obtain resources.

These excavators can also be improved, and this is the function that can make that happen. When you construct a building with this function, you need to select one type of excavator you would like to assign to that building. There are, in total, four types of excavators, one for each resource type.

To improve the excavators, you will increase their level rather than individual features. Each level will enhance the excavator in 3 areas:

• The limit of how much of that resource it can extract before you need to go and retrieve it.

• The length of the Construction time to finish building the excavator in the field.

• Finally, the excavator's Extraction Speed means how fast it can extract the resource from its point.

Resource Extraction — Available in Industry Inc. and Power Plant.

At the beginning of the game, you will start with one excavator per resource type, for a total of 4. But soon, you will notice many resource spots around the map. To obtain more excavators and, therefore, more resources, you will need to construct buildings with the Resource Extraction feature.

Inside the function, you will find four slots for four excavators. These slots will be unlocked when you level up the building, the second slot at level 3, the third slot at level 6, and the final fourth slot at level 9.

Once the slot is open, you will be able to build a new excavator and use it for resource extraction. But do not abandon it in the field, as these new excavators will have limited Durability, and can only last for some time. Once the excavator is in the field, you will have several options. You can retrieve it to re-deploy in another resource point or go to this function and repair it.

If you forget to repair it, you will be able to build it again, but the cost of building a new one is higher than repairing a broken one. If your excavator reaches 0 Durability, it won't disappear from the field but will remain there until you go and retrieve it.
