Sea Photography Contest Week 25 - Sea and Sunsets

Sometimes I don't mind so much making a "technical" error if it captures the subject I'm going for. In this shot I was most interested in capturing the soft lacy streamers created by the gentle waves and so exposed for the foreground, even if it meant blowing the highlight on the left because, to be quite honest, there wasn't much of interest going on over there. I did fret a bit after taking this shot and bracketed a few more with the intention of merging them to HDR later but the results didn't have the softness and richness of this single exposure.
