"Aninikad" for Dinner!
These type of small seasnails are abundant in our area which are found offshore and many locals glean them when its low tide. They come in many sizes, shades and shell patterns. Some people even use their shells for crafts and decors.
We call these "Aninikad" and these are one of our favorites!
To cook, just add some water then put a dash of salt to add flavor. Let it boil for almost half an hour until its ready.
We take out the snails by using a safety pin..
Make sure to have a lot of rice in your plate because the challenge of taking them out makes you even more hungry!
These are just one of the many species of sea creatures found in our seas. We , Filipinios, must feel blessed to the abundance of our seas which does not only give us food in our plates but also gives sources of livelihood to our countrymen.
Have a Great Day everyone and Bon Appetite!!
