This mangy looking thing is none other than Octopus. In Greece, it is a very popular dish which is eaten either at lunch or at Dusk. Given the relative ease of access to the Aegean sea, seafood remains the mainstay ingredient for any meal in Greece.

Octopus is often served sliced and diced to almost unidentifiable forms but that is clearly not the case here.
