The State of Bugeywa region.

There are many kids in this area who don’t go to school due to financial constraints and other family problems. Some of the kids lost their parents and have no guardians to look after them and others come from very poor families and the parents cannot afford to support their kids’ education. The people in this region are well known for producing many children which they cannot manage to look after. I won’t be judgmental over that issue. I believe some people in this region need advice and counseling on proper family planning methods so that to combat that issue.

There are now a total of 50 kids who are orphans and some from very poor families that I chose to volunteer in supporting their education. All these kids are studying at New Hope School located in this region. Education is the key to success. I believe by helping such kids through supporting their education will give birth to self-sustainable and responsible citizens that will impact societies in this Nation and other nations all over the world.
This region is still backward with few health centers, schools, and No companies/factories. The region has no Hydro Electric power. The citizens rely on Solar provided electricity which is not that strong and reliable.

My reasons for volunteering in helping out such unprivileged kids:

First and foremost, I am a product of once a great lived charity project called Uganda Child Trust Fund that supported up to a total of 200 students in both academics and sports career. I am now a graduate possessing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing. That charity project, unfortunately, closed down service last year due to some unclear issues associated with its founder.

I believe in the power of Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Technology that are impacting lives of humanity in this 21st Century. This project was birthed last year by me together with the initial and continuous generous support of the Korean Steem community under the leadership of a great friend called @ukk. The supported kids in this project have grown from 13-50 kids. The kids and their school have not remained the same ever since such a generous helping hand came their way.

The school charges an average of 10 SBDs as school fees for every pupil/child that caters for the whole academic term that runs for 4 months. A total of 621 SBDs is needed to cater for a list of 50 kids/pupils who are very much in need of this school fees support. According to Uganda’s education system, every academic year contains 3 terms. You can make a difference in a child’s life today by contributing to his/her school fees. I will be updating you of their performance and progress with their academics in future blogs.

Volunteering teachers are also very much needed in this school. You can come and impact these pupils with your teaching knowledge and skills.

Other requirements that students need for their Education:

Besides the school fees, these pupils need scholastic items such as books, reading textbooks, pens, pencils, school bags, school shoes. Thanks to @Achimmertens for the pledged contribution of $80(80 SBDs) towards these pupils scholastic items.

The impact of your Help

Your support through paying school fees for these kids’ means a lot to them and their school, being that it brings about sustenance and development of their school. The school’s current status is not very appealing as the Pupils study in a few wooden structured Classrooms with wooden chalkboards and muddy floors. The Study environment can be made much better through your generous support.

I am planning to create a separate steem account that will entirely focus on the management and progress of this project. I highly welcome any ideas on how to make this project successful and sustainable.
