actually i didn't try to look into the stats for already combined cards .... i just burned the single ones .... should of calculated like you did but the difference is really 5% if i understood it correctly ....

Yes - maxed cards give 5% bonus. It's not huge and I dont think one should buy cards to make maxed ones.
