Tiger Woods finished 2019 with the sixth official golf ranking in the world, the highest year-end ranking since finishing first in 2013.
Woods side-by-side with Sam Snade's 82-year-old PGA Tour win at the April 19 Masters and October ZOZO Championships. He was tied for ninth in the June Memorial and fifth on the planet.
Woods finished in 1st place in 2013 and dropped to 32nd place in only nine competitions the following year. Woods has suffered for several years, rising to 656 at the end of 2017.
He has appeared 19 times in 2018, won one title, and scored six other top 10 finishes. Woods postponed his 14 official races in 2019 as a successful captain of the US President's Cup Group.
Brooks Kipka has been ranked # 1 in 2019, even though he hasn't played since retiring from the CJ Cup in October due to a knee injury.
Northern Ireland's Lori McKilroy is second, followed by Woods after John Lam, Spain's Justin Thomas and Dustin Johnson. Patrick Cantley was in seventh place, following the top-notch Justin Rose (England), Zander Choppel of the United States and Tommy Fleetwood of the United Kingdom in an unprecedented decade of his career.
Two of the top 100 players in 2019 pushed Denmark's Bernd Wisberger, who jumped 163 steps up to 22nd, with three victories in 26 competitions. Other giants were Thailand's Jazz Yanawatanond (123--40), South African Republican Eric Van Ruyen (141-49) and Jim Furik (223-57).
Brendan Todd, who won two rounds of the PGA Tour Fall Swing, was a remarkable rebound, considering he was ranked 522th in October alone. The first winner, Colin Morikawa, rose to 65th from 2,006, and the individual victors of the block's Victor Hobrand (Norway) jumped from 1,157 to 93. Scottie Sheffler, a Korn Ferry Tour graduate, advanced 1,523 points to 66th place.
While some of the world's rising stars jumped into the ranks, it was a story that replaced the pseudonym of the two.
Phil Mickelson ended the year at the 70th lowest since 1992. He immediately won the AT & T Pebble Beach Pro-Am this year, but only managed to pass twice in the top 10 with nine cuts in 23 events.
Jordan Spies continued the slide, ending 44th in the year. Spitz, who won first place in late 2015, has no success since 2017 and no next competition.
Australian Day Jason Jason, who was the first place, finished 37th and fought an ongoing reissue. It was the first game in the day that jumped out of the top 15 after 2012 for a year.
