I think it's definitely one of the challenges happening.
I'm also recently seeing when new people create a tournament that's not currently familiar with how long it takes for a larger event to complete:
These chosen times are cutting close if not clashing directly with another official event.
If and when we move to asynchronous tournaments I guess it won't be a problem!
