هو اسم غير مألوف لدى كثير من الناس الّذين اعتادوا على تناول الأطعمة الروتينيّة اليومية، ولكن إذا ما عرفنا أنّ لهذه الأكلة فوائد كثيرة فربّما سيشجّعنا ذلك كي نجرّبها، يطلق اسم فواكه البحر على مجموعة من الكائنات البحريّة وهي "أسماك الكاليماري، والروبيان، وسرطان البحر، والكابوريا، والمحار، وغيرها"، ولها فوائد عديدة لجسم الإنسان إذا ما استخدمت كغذاء؛ فهي تقي تضخّم الغدة الدرقية، ومقوّية للعظام، وتعالج خشونة المفاصل، وتقلّل من الإصابة بانسداد الشرايين والأزمات القلبيّة، وتساعد على ترميم أنسجة الجسم وتكوين الأنزيمات والهرمونات، وتقلّل من ارتفاع الكولسترول .
