Return to a land called paraiso
A place where a dying river ends.
No birds there fly over paraiso
No space allows them to endure.
The smoke that screens the air

REFLECTIONS

This song is about paraiso which means paradise. The paradise that they are referring here is the smokey mountain or the landfill. Whenever I listen to this song, I cant help but cry. Tears really come out in my eyes. I pity them that they have to live a life like that. And yet even if that is their situation, despite what they are going and what they have been through, they still appreciate simple things and be happy with it. They still have hopes and they want the world to understand and respect them. And it made me appreciate life more and be grateful for it. I may not have anything I want, but I have everything I need to be alive. Appreciate simple things and simple joys in life.
