Infinity Chamber Review

in #scifi7 years ago

As those of you that read my writing night have noticed, I enjoy checking out low budget little known scifi movies. Netflix has a ton of those, and some of them manage to be fairly enjoyable. Infinity Chamber is one of those.

It tells a story of Frank who finds himself locked up in a single room, and forced to relive one specific memory from his past in different iterations. I am trying very hard here to avoid spoilers, since the story actually goes in some very interesting directions, and is a variation on the classic Groundhog Day formula. It also deals with the unreliability of memory.

The beginning of the movie is very strong, and gives a very Kafkaesque feel to the proceedings. Although a lot gets revealed, some questions still remain by the end, but the uncertainty works for the movie.

Christopher Soren Kelly, playing Frank, manages to give a very strong performance. Since the film is very focused on a single person’s experience, having a strong actor in that role becomes even more important in less tightly focused films. Christopher manages to do justice to the role.

Overall, if you are looking for some good SciFi, that makes you think, you should check out this movie.
