The Liberator from Blakes 7.
This is my version of the Liberator from the BBC science fiction show of the late 70's. Growing up this was a must watch show in our house and the Liberator has always been one of my favourite space ships.
The show was far more gritty and darker than the likes of Star Trek or other shows at the time and was created by Terry Nation who also created the Daleks for Doctor Who.
The show ran from 1978 to 1981, so the same time as Battlestar Galactica and the creators had a tiny budget but made up for it with a well rounded cast of characters where the criminals and freedom fighters became the anti-heroes fighting a corrupt federation. While the show hasn't aged well visually and talks of a reboot keep coming to nothing there has been a number of audio adventures in recent years with the original cast.
