Scoperta la 'torre di controllo' della fertilità: è un gene che accende contemporaneamente centinaia di altri geni importanti la formazione delle cellule germinali, cioè ovociti e spermatozoi. Scoperto nei topi, il gene è presente anche nell'uomo e la sua scoperta potrebbe costituire un grande passo in avanti per la medicina riproduttiva. Pubblicata sulla rivista Developmental Cell, la ricerca si deve al gruppo dell'università giapponese di Kumamoto guidato da Kei-Ichiro Ishiguro.
