The waist of the Earth

A fairly generous waist, if we think that at the Equator, the Earth's circumference reaches 40,075 kilometers.

Terra is very old

Scientists have tried to determine the age of the Earth, studying the oldest rocks, but also the meteorites discovered here. Thus, it seems that our planet is 4.5 billions years old and the oldest rock is on the Hudson Bay in Quebec, with 4.24 billions years old.

The soil formation process is repeated periodically

We could say that the Earth is being recycled if we think the soil cycle follows a precise and regular route. The volcanic rocks turn into sedimentary rocks, then into metamorphic rocks, after which the cycle repeats itself. Experts say it is not a perfect process, but under certain conditions it is repeated.

The hottest place on Earth

The highest temperature on Earth was recorded in El Aziza, Libya, where weather stations indicated 57.8 Celsius degrees on 13th September, 1922.

The coldest place on Earth

In Antarctica, temperatures in winter fall to -73 Celsius degrees . However, the lowest temperature ever recorded on Earth was at Vostok Station in Russia. On 21th July, 1983, the thermometers showed -89.2 Celsius degrees.

The driest place on Earth

In the Atacama desert from Chile and Peru, there are places where the rain has never fallen.

The existence of planets like Earth is not excluded

Scientists are constantly investigating this hypothesis. They have found evidence that Kepler planet is the best candidate.
What we don't know is if these planets can sustain life.
