Great article Timsaid. To answer your question, I am in total support of going clean, but just like you said they are still expensive. So I think efforts should be put into making them cheap most especially for developing countries.
For nuclear energy being renewable energy is debatable. In my opinion, I think it is renewable but not clean energy. Deploying it is another issue. I think any country that has the technology to handle well the resource should be allowed to.
