RE: Wait A Minute: Treating Alzheimer’s Disease with Light?
It's definitely not something anyone wants to see a loved one go through. I watched my grandmother go through it and confuse my dad (her son) for her husband and proceed to relive an argument she had with her husband 40-50 years previous. She understood that my dad was her son, but still had no problem believing he was also his dad. It was incredibly sad to see that incident as a 13 year old.
Yep, my maternal grandmother also was a victim to this. My intro example is actually the brief story of her decline. It was so sad to watch. She held on for many years with this disease, so I watched her progress to the point where she didn't know who any of us were. I so hope for a cure so other families don't have to experience what we all did.
