every DNA string and all the analyses ever undertaken to date, need to be scrutinized to ascertain whether any of that code impacted the computers used to analyze it, potentially altering our knowledge of genetics.

While re-analysis of previously analyzed DNA may be considered paranoid, given that DNA can be a vector for malicious computer instructions, it is a reasonable action, since it is possible that naturally occurring DNA may well have caused problems of which we remain unaware.

I am unable to grasp the conflation of phenotype and genotype as a rational concept.
Actually, it is largely her behaviour that generates such interest, and this is primarily environmental of genesis, rather than derived from her DNA. Norma Jean was not particularly pretty, or desirable.

One of my good friends is one the premier DNA guys there is, I will run this past him and get his reaction. As to my reaction, well... I am much less concerned that the computers can be hacked than by the potential that human DNA can be hacked as intimated by Zizek in the video. Does it go in both directions?
I need more information before I make any kind of concrete statement here. The video stated they "created a synthetic DNA strand" and "they encoded malware into a small DNA sequence they purchased on the internet." This is too vague, was the DNA strand they purchased online a synthetic strand and they edited that, or did they purchase an organic DNA strand and add a synthetic component to it? ... I looked it up, looks like it was a complete synthetic strand see here.
Nonetheless, the ability to store data on human DNA appears to have been achieved in 2012 see this so the ability to hack a computer that reads it has been feasible for at least 5 years. This is likely just the first public experiment. Given the EMF soup we are living in... enter desired nightmare scenario here. It does make me think of Morgellons, but again, purely speculative. Too much to put together this late at night on my side of the world. Will think on it more.

Just as editing computer code is 'hacking' it, so is editing DNA.
Just as you can do it with a CRISPR kit, so can your neighbor, Antifa, or the Shining Path.
This story doesn't really reflect that, but rather how simply by analyzing DNA, code can be run on the computer. Once you can run code, you can do most anything, including misreport the DNA results, and this can frame innocent people for crimes, paternity, or even misdiagnose them with diseases - and the treatments for some diseases can be fatal for certain genotypes, making this even a means of assassination.
If this report is factual, this is a big deal.
With the Quantum computer, it is more plausible to hack DNA. Hack DNA means Hacking body as Daniel told in the Old Testament.
I did not recall Daniel was much of a hacker.
Certainly more powerful computers make it easier to hack, anything. However, it is the coding that is important, and not even quantum computers write code - yet.
Coding malware into DNA that corrupts computers when it is analyzed doesn't depend on clock cycles (speed, which is where quantum computing is most beneficial) but on programming skill, which can be used on an iphone.

I do not see that these articles show that DNA coding - any of it, much less all of it - is possessed by quantum computers, nor that malicious code is either. Because they are fast, such computers are able to create better cryptographic calculations, as well as provide certain quantum effects that greatly increase the difficulty of cracking cryptography.
These features make concealing information more effective, but do not particularly enhance malicious code, nor how to code DNA to impact computers.
It is very interesting, and definitely involves more than simply cryptography. AI, particularly, may well be proven to attain to superintelligence status due to the increased performance attainable by quantum computers.
However, this does not directly create malware, or encode it into DNA so that DNA analysis compromises the computers used to analyze DNA.
I'm just getting a little pissed off with all those hypnotized fool's who just don't get it. Iv just got into a blazing argument with my family showing absolute proof we are living on a flat plane. And all I got back with scoffs of laughter, NASA has shown us 100s of photos.
