RE: Deepstaria: Creepy Deep-Sea Balloon Aliens?!

in #science7 years ago

Hi, @trumpman.

Great post! I always enjoy learning about deep-sea animals, despite the general lack of knowledge. It's so cool to know that there are still so many species down there that are a complete mystery to us.

I'm really curious about how they reproduce; needing both a male and a female in order to get fertilized eggs seems difficult for a creature that lives in such a dark place. Either it must have some mechanism to meet a mate, or another "secret weapon", it seems a bit unlikely that it would meet another member of its species randomly. Or do jelly fish have some other mechanism to locate mates? I'm honestly not really well-educated about jelly fish.

Best regards from @valth.

I'll do some more research later and see what I come up with :D

Cool, thanks!
