The science of the 1700's was far from atheistic. All major discoveries made by science were made by god fearing men.
People die, people will continue to die. Nothing is going to change that. Getting rid of money is not going to change that. To the contrary, getting rid of money will destroy our society which will lead to the starvation of several billion people and several billion more to starvation related diseases.
