Superstition Results from Incomplete Information
Alchemy is a superstition.
Eugenics is a superstition.
Conspiracy theories are superstition.
All superstitions are non-truths that result from ignorance.
The biggest sin is when (out of the pride in your heart) you refuse to believe the truth in the face of facts that are revealed.
Alchemy eventually turned some great scientists of the past into madmen. After learning some truths about the behaviors of various substances in this world, they grew attached to their results and the idea of their own “genius.”
Nobody can know everything.
I think it is Isaac Newton who continued searching for patterns where there were none.
I believe that the “witch doctors” of what we know as “tribal” cultures, is just a form of alchemy. Certainly, some of their remedies must have been effective for them to be accepted practices by the people in that community.
I suspect that those “witch doctors” were people who may have discovered that when you take certain substances and mix them together at a particular temperature, you produce something else that has a particular usefulness in society.
The issue then is, if the question “why” is not asked, and the findings are not documented and repeatable as well as understood in the context of the larger world; then you can easily end up misunderstanding what is significant about what you found.
More about me:
Nwudo is about encouraging Africans to read, write and do business in their own languages.
MISSION SUMMARY: I believe the world is big enough for everybody to enjoy it's abundance and we all have to learn to work together not taking away from each other, but complimenting each other, because when everybody feels empowered, everybody wins. I think some of the biggest problems we face in the world today comes from an imbalance of power. It is impossible for two people to see things eye-to-eye when they are not on level playing field. So, I think when everybody feels like they are living to their full potential, everybody is encouraged to help each other fairly. That is why I love the blockchain system that we are moving into. That is why I love the information age. These are some of the things I hope to encourage Africans to take advantage of.
