Extinction of Dinosaurs = Evolution of Humans

The extinction of the dinosaurs is the only reason humans exist. Dinosaurs were large, fast, and strong—fierce predators. They killed any large mammals, preventing them from evolving any larger than a shrew.

After the asteroid hit, it changed the climate, killing most of the dinosaurs. But small rat-like mammals could survive in the nuclear winter. Earth got cold from the ice age, and only warm-blooded animals could survive in such conditions, which is why all the cold-blooded dinosaurs died out.

Over time, mammals continued to evolve, and without dinosaur predators, they became larger and more diverse and complex; more intelligent and conscious, becoming apes, then ultimately humans.

When the climate started to warm again, allowing larger reptiles to survive, Homo Sapiens had already evolved. With their intelligence plus ability to work together in large groups through socialization and cooperation, they were able to kill off any large reptiles before they could evolve into predatory threats. Which is why you only see large lizards like Komodo dragons exist today on islands completely isolated from humans and any other predators.

The asteroid itself was an anomaly, not just that it hit earth, but that it hit earth in that exact location with particular rocks and chemicals that clouded the atmosphere. Any other location on earth would not have disrupted the atmosphere and climate enough to lead to the mass extinction of dinosaurs. If it weren’t for that asteroid, humans would not exist today.
