Semiclassical Physics: Providing a possible solution for Quantum Gravity?
Since the beginning of the 20th century, a central question facing theoretical physicist has always been how to unify the theories of General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics. Countless attempts have been made at creating a theory of Quantum Gravity such as the different variants of String Theory and Loop Quantum Gravity.
The above picture depicts the collision of two protons and the creation of the infamous Higgs boson. This was a major success for Quantum Loop.
More recently, Antoine Tilloy has proposed a new theory based on the Ghirardi-Rimini-Weber (GRW) model [1]. The GRW model was first proposed in 1985 and, in short, aims to remove the need for an observer from the Schrödinger equation. This distinction allows for a particle to solved for at an exact location, regardless of the observers conditions [2].
Tilloy has applied the GRW model to suggest that by pinpointing the exact location for the collapse of a wavefunction we can expect for a gravitational field to take its place [3]. It turns out that the average gravitational field created matches classical predictions meaning that on a large scale the theory would agree with Newton’s Law of Gravitation.
Yet the theory is far from complete. In its current form, Tilloy's Theory fails to explain General Relativity, one of the central pillars of Modern Physics.

in regards to a unifying theory which is what you are basically getting at here, I really think imho that reality will always provide a new thread to chase...That is my two cents... :) That is why I am so curious in the topics of emergent reality and retrocausality...and the power of consciousness as a fundamental part of an informational universe... It's quite fascinating...All of it...from every philosophical viewpoint...

I believe that what you are talking about would be more applicable to the "Theory of Everything". As you can probably guess the "Theory of Everything" would somehow be capable of describing everything in the universe! I'm not sure how many scientist truly believe we could ever create or discover a "theory of everything" although we definitely will have more work to do after creating a theory of quantum gravity.
In my opinion we will never truly have a full understanding of anything in our universe. (Although for me, this uncertainty is part of what makes science so exciting!) For example, the Juno space probe recently related information to us which violates many of the theories we take for granted.
