The bible has described the water circle before the scientist discovered it.

There is one who dwells above the circle of the earth”……… Isaiah 40:22.
Before the ascension of the soviet union to the outer space bible has already described the structure of the earth as circle, the bible translators used the word circle because in many languages there is no word for spherical . like in Igbo language anything with the shape of an egg we call it gburugburu (circle) and i believe that, that is why they used circle instead of spherical.

Ferdinand Magellan with his crew traveled three year in the ocean in a quest to discover the true shape of the earth in which they believe that the earth is flat and they believe that at a point that their ship will sail and fall off the earth, they told others that if they did not return, let them know that the earth is flat.

Years after year they still came back to a particular point, they now deduced that the earth is round. Emerging wasting so much years, while the bible, year back has already mention the true nature of the earth, a least they would have had a basis for their exploration but they ignored the world of God because the felt that it was written by unlettered people.
