The next little ice age Vol. 26
The great American Eclipse.

August 21-2017

Today I want to wish all the lucky ones happy day of the eclipse.

Good morning, afternoon, night depending on where the reader is. We start with the sunspots as always. The sunspot group 2671 still maintains the gamma beta magnetic field. Still holds the possibility of M-class solar flares. Yesterday I forgot to mention that the group of sunspot 2671 launched a flare north of Earth. It will only have some impact in the polar regions.

The huge coronal hole has already left the visible solar disk and is expected to diminish the solar wind over the next few days.

Our magnetosphere, as we can see in the graph of the bottom is bearing the fast solar wind. The lines of the field are colliding between them and as a result that energy is discharged into the upper layers of the atmosphere.

Current conditions are geomagnetic storm.
The solar wind is at 580 km / sec and the density of protons is 9 protons per cubic centimeter. Radio Ham keep disconnected.

Much ink has been poured talking about the total eclipse that is going to enjoy much of the USA.

I was lucky enough to enjoy the eclipse that took place in Europe in 2005. I have to say it was an extraordinary moment of an emotion very difficult to explain if you did not have the opportunity to live any.

As I prepared for the 2005 eclipse I felt something special, the nerves in my stomach, the agitation prior to a big event. Maybe we can compare it to us the day before we went camping when we were kids. That excitement that did not let you sleep and that made time pass very slowly during those previous hours.

Once the eclipse begins everything else stays in the background and was no longer able to stop watching as little by little began to observe the moon biting the solar disk.

If you live it in the totality. Those minutes of stress when the moon finally covers the solar disk, the stress disappears and begins one of the best moments that nature can give you.

The minutes that lasts the total eclipse are combined in a mystical moment and of great impact in the people who are watching it. Some people cry with emotion, others embrace the friends with whom they are, others pray and many silent, stunned by the wonder they are watching, can not even blink.

In writing these last lines I could not get excited thinking about that magic moment. A shiver just crossed my back and I find myself writing with tears in my eyes as a result of that emotion that has caused me to remember those moments.

In conclusion I would like to encourage all those who are within a few hours of the totality, to go to the nearest area to see it. It is one of the moments that you will remember your whole life.

So if any of my readers are lucky enough to see it and want to share their experience please do so in comments.

Enjoy the eclipse!!!

give a link source for image is more appreciated

Ok, thank you. In the next post I will add the Links of the SDO images and the NASA modeling center. As well as other images that I can use.

I had planned to be camping during the eclipse, but life had other plans. Oh well, there will be another one in 20 years and the hopefully I'll be alive for the one in 2099.

In Spain the next will be in the year 2026. I hope to see it. I was looking to go to spend a few days at friends home in Salt Lake City but as you say life had other plans. So let's hope we live long enough to see one more.

Another great post as usual. Please consider changing the fonts of the pasted parts, it's a bit harsh on the eyes.

I was wondering if anyone would notice, thank you very much, I will reduce them in size.
