This is Ocado's newest automated warehouse.IT is located in Andover,UK.Thousands of robots work to collect orders inside.The facility process up to 65,000 orders every week.How do the robots work?
They move along a grid system.It is several times the sizes of a football pitch.They are controlled by an air traffic control system.They communicate using 4G technology.This is how they do not crash into each other.They have a top speed of 4 meters per second.The robots are battery operated.They are charging bays where the robots top up.Now we tell you how does the system work?
The robots act as a giant good-to-person system.They bring crates of products to pick stations.Robots or humans then assemble the orders.The robots replace empty crates on the grid.Ocado is at the forefront of automated warehouses.Is this the future of retail? the answer is yes because today is the era of technology the artificial intelligence helps marketer to gain competitive edge over the other marketers in the market to produce better,faster,high quality products to the customers & satisfy their need.
