Ladybug Under The Microscope ๐๐ฌ
The ladybug was a little hard to examine due to it being small and its elytra (hard shell) being closed. More specifically it pretty much huddled up and closed up like a little ball, hiding anything possible.
Apparently the elytra is the same on both sides, as in they are mirror images of each other.

This particular ladybug is orange in colour with black spots. Checking out the underside of the ladybug under the microscope, the flat sectioning part reminds me of a beetle. Well it should being a ladybug is a beetle.

Time to look at the shell, wow it reminds me a little of our pores in our skin. I would have thought the shell would be smooth and solid. I did not expect to see these pores like holes in them. More importantly, I thought they said the elytra are the same on both sides?!?! From the GIF below the bottom two dots do not appear to be symmetrical to me.
What do you think?

I am waiting on tools to arrive so I can poke and pry a little bit. Although I am a little afraid of damaging the specimens.
This one is called Coccinella transversalis a true hero in the garden and a enemy to the Aphid :-)
Nice to see one close up!
Nice, now I have a proper name for it
i am a student of science group.i was read about ladybug, now again i read and know about ladybug.helpful post, thanks.stay with me please.
Cool, was there anything you learnt in your science group about ladybugs that is interesting that I missed here in my post?
I'm going to start referring to you as the mass murderer of insects! :)
LOL! I didn't kill them, they went to sleep and didn't wake up.....
No, I don't think they look symmetrical. I wouldn't have expected to see those pore like holes on the shell either. Fascinating.
Would be nice if I could open up the shell, without damaging it, to check it out more. Wonder if underneath the shell has those pores too?
These are great shots and the diagram is excellent.
Next time use me! I can fly down to you.
HAHAHAHA that would be GREAT if you could!
I won't hurt you, if you could just open up your wings and let me examine you, then you may go freely.
Nothing in nature is truly symmetrical
That is true. Then the correct wording they should use is 'almost' symmetrical hehehe

your post is very good friends
Thanks, but I am not sure how genuine your comment is because you write similar comments on other people's posts. Also you wrote on someone's post of just a photo as a very good post. It makes it hard to believe if you truly read my post or if you are here for another upvote, so no upvote from me. I would suggest you look at changing how you interact with others and use your upvote more wisely because your voting power is very low.
