From my in depth research of Nikola Tesla, I do not find the 1899 interview to be authentically Tesla. The grammar, terminology and manner of the responses which are supposedly Nikola Tesla, do not fit very well with the style of the other quotes you have above and many of his other interviews. Not only that, but there are chronological errors as well. Keep it real.
Absolutely correct observation @subductive ...This text is borrowed from a 1995 play by Stevan Pesic - a Belgrade based theatrical writer - and his play "Tesla - Adaptation of an Angel" was performed on stage for several seasons in front of live audiences, and because of the catchy narrative translated from Serbian and resurfaced online without quoting the actual source.
