AMBERGRIS - "The Floating Gold"

A few days ago, the world was overwhelmed by the news about 10 whales that stranded in the waters of Aceh Besar Regency.
How not, the whales have a large size, and the phenomenon of the whaling of whales is still very rare. The news has made me know many things about whales, as well as the gold carried by that fish.
I am interested to write this post, because it is caused by the type of whales stranded in Aceh is "Sperm whale" which has "ambergris". Ambergris is a material similar to a Coral reef.
Initially, ambergris is in the body of a whale, which will someday be vomited out. More precisely, the whale will spew it, which has long accumulated in its intestines. And the object shape is like a chunks that have been solidified.
The fishermen who often fish in the sea call the whale with the "The floating gold." From the name, obviously you will know that ambergris has an expensive selling point.
Can be purchased for more than US$ 10,000/Kg
Ambergris is more familiarly called the "whale vomit", it has a high selling value. In a kilogram the price could reach US $ 10,000. Even the price can be more expensive than that.
From some literature I have read, ambergris has its own type, and there is a special tool to check whether it is genuine or fake ambergris. I am curious, why ambergris it has a very expensive selling price.
Apparently, after I browsing some stories on the internet, I just learned that ambergris can be a raw material for making perfume. Even according to the articles I read on the aldhinya site, ambergris has been in use since ancient times, including the ancient Egyptians, Greeks, Romans and Arabs. They use it as perfume. if in Asia, ambergris usually used as a spice.
"The floating gold" is released through vomiting (pathological secretion) caused by a sperm whale disease. Ambergris is formed by the reaction of whale stomach irritation. Could be, it is caused by shellfish or squid head that has been eaten by a whale.
Occurs naturally, sperm whales will spit out spontaneously. And it only produces 3% -4% ambergris. Not much! This is what makes that "floating gold" has a high selling price.
According to a steemian story, @curiesea, who knows the ocean and the fishermen very much, he says that many fishermen have dreams of finding ambergris, to boost their economy, and could become rich in short time. If they found it. LOL
And that's not an impossible thing, because they are very close to the sea, moreover, there have been horrendous stories about the fishermen who suddenly rich after finding that goods. Indeed, ambergris is something that is disgusting, but has a very high value.
Now, after I found the stories about ambergris, every to the sea, my eyes would be on a pile of marine garbage, who know I could found it. :)
