Spider venoms can kill but at the same time they are useful in medical research. The Sicarius sp venom has even been employed in cancer treatment research with promising results. So it's not all bad. nice write-up.

Absolutely. Its always fascinating when you see compounds with terribly high levels of toxicity end up on the positive side of things
