We all love science indeed, what about some quick interesting science facts? I was bit confused enough with how to get started, i think i'll start with indeed a topic which people are less aware of, what about some celestial bodies, yes indeed ,no time to waste we'll get started on the go.

A Teaspoonfull of Neutronstar would weigh 6 billion tons

We all would have weighed a teaspoon of sugar indeed, It would be about 10- 20g. But have u ever heard about a neutron star? A teaspoon of it would weigh about billions of ton indeed. That is more than the weight of an enormous mountain.

A neutron star is one among the most dense materials ever found in the universe. It is basically a dead star and are formed as a result of supernova explosions of a massive star combined with gravitational collapse that compresses the core.It is found to be composed entirely of neutrons. They are the smallest and densest stars known to exist. Typically they have the radius of around 10km but would weigh twice that of sun.
Because of the enormous density the resulting gravity is very high , they are held together by very high pressure called degeneracy pressure , which prevents further collapse, which may give birth to a black hole.

>>They are difficult to find

Their sizes are very small, about 10-20km compared to other celestial bodies. They are also rarely occurring in universe .One very few neutron stars has been detected till now by the scientists. They are quite difficult to detect also.

>>They spin very fast

Neutrons stars rotates at a very fast rate indeed 100 times per second maybe. They eventually slows down with time but the rate is too less ,maybe in millions of years by a few seconds. So theoretically the high rotational speed makes it difficult to land on a neutron star.

>>They make gravity go crazy

High density of neutron stars leads to immense gravity on its surface. Any matter dropped to its surface would probably be torn away by extreme tidal forces before it reaches the surface. Even light gets effected by such enormous gravity effects, it results in warping of light that is light simply bends away from its surface , making it difficult to detect.

Thats all for today, believe you would have liked it, keep connected for more. Do check my previous post here
