Alnitak (Zeta Orionis), is a blue supergiant of apparent magnitude 1.74 and absolute magnitude -5.26 (Ten thousand suns).
It is located at 800 light years from us.
It has two companions separated by 2.1 "and 57", with respective magnitudes equal to 4.20 and 9.50.
