The Icy moon Miranda
Miranda is a moon of Uranus, but it looks strange.

This picture was taken by Voyager 2. The Voyager spacecrafts were made to take advantage of a rare planetary alignment. It was able to flyby Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. When it encountered Uranus it took a picture of Miranda as well. [1][2]
Miranda is a strange moon. It looks like the moon is made up of parts that didn’t quite merge together properly. This isn’t helped by the lack of plate tectonics, the moon is only 1/7th the size of ours so it doesn’t get anywhere close. Scientists actually disagree on what caused this. Some think a massive explosion ripped apart the moon, and gravity haphazardly through it back together. Another possibility is asteroid collisions, they could heat up large amounts of water which causes slush to rise. [3]

Interesting post, didn't know about this moon. I'm no scientist, but I think what happened is that an asteroid collided with the moon, ripped it to pieces, and then the gravity bought it back together.
If I recall correctly, there is another such moon in the solar system that looks weird, and in that case, I think it's confirmed that an asteroid collided with it, and then it came back together due to gravity
