This is a picture of the center of the galaxy taken by the Spitzer Telescope
This is a picture by the Spitzer Space Telescope of the center of our home galaxy, the Milky Way. The core of galaxies are usually the densest area in them, and the center of ours is no exception. In this picture there are hundreds of thousands of stars. The white area in the middle is the very center of our galaxy, the densest and brightest area. [1]
There are supermassive black holes at the very center of every galaxy. Typically black holes are about 10-100 solar masses, while supermassive black holes are millions of solar masses. The one at the center of the Milky Way is about 4.3 million solar masses. It is unknown exactly how supermassive black holes form, and few, if any, intermediate mass black holes have been found.[2]

Who knows what's lurking in that part of the galaxy??? It's always my childhood dream to see a huge spaceship somewhere in the outer space. I'm still curious what' in there. Thanks for sharing your great post @space-pictures ;)

It is difficult to takes photos far from the Earth, we mostly observe the universe from the Earth (so the earth would be... behind the camera). Alternatively we have space telescopes orbiting, Hubble for example is on Earth´s orbit, but other telescopes are postioned in other orbits, being the "lagrangian points" the most interesting ones (eg. future JWST).
Long story short, the lagrangian points are points in a orbit around the sun, but in points where the forces from Earth and the Sun make them very stable.
