A lot of steemit early adopters are paranoid conspiracy nuts that believe a lot of nonsense like that; I'm not sure if it's because they project greed and deceit onto others by default, or what.

I am glad to see posts like yours. Steemit desperately needs more rational voices.

    Thanks. Posting for rationality sake.

    I am not sure either. But steemit trending is quite capable of twisting people's minds into believing them. Trending and popular = true facts? Maybe not.
