The CEO Of Boeing – We Will Have Flying Cars In Five Years!

The idea of flying cars is still more sci-fi rather than real life. But the CEO of Boeing says otherwise!

Boeing – one of the worlds largest companies that build airplanes – is working hard on autonomous flying cars and its CEO – Dennis Muilenburg – says that the first ones should be among us within the next five years. The company is already producing prototypes and he says that the first test flights should start happening next year.

Imagine a future city that has three-dimensional highways, with flying taxis, flying cars. That future is not that far away. In fact, we are building the prototype vehicles today. We are also investing in the ecosystem that will allow that to operate safely and reliably as it must.”

But before that future becomes commonplace we will probably have to wait longer than five years. But maybe we will see something like vehicles that transport goods in that sort of time-frame appearing. The ecosystem that will take care of this new form of travel requires many thing, including a better and improved form of air traffic control. This is why Boeing is working with an Australian company named SparkCognition. The goal is the developed a AI that will overlook and control flying cars.

Whether it will take five or ten or more years one thing is for sure. Boeing (and other companies making planes) are definitely trying to make this a real future. Now we just have to wait and one day fly away in our flying cars.
