It's so good that you are talking about this subject! I am currently located in Thailand and yesterday so many lanterns were sent up in the air. People need to be more aware of the consequences of their actions. Warnings say that we might be out of fish year 2048 if we don't drastically change our habits. What else do you do to minimize your environmental impact?

Sadly, tradition is one of the hardest things to break. The best thing any of us can do is recycle, reduce your carbon footprint, use alternative transport etc etc. Even if you just do one thing and encourage your family and friends to do the same the results are huge.
