The physicist and its importance in medicine

Good morning steemit community! this morning I will tell you a little of what one day my professional profile will be :D

The medical physicist :) you ask yourself: a physicist? in medicine? and if friends, the graduate in physics not only graduates to teach as many people mistakenly think (at least in my country it is like that xD), in fact the work field of the graduate in physics is very broad! but this morning I will tell you a little about how physics goes hand in hand with medicine and in what area specifically.

First of all, what is medical physics?

It is the branch of physics that emerged with the union of medicine and physics in order to find new ways to advance in medicine using the concepts and laws of physics, it is said to be modern medicine.

Among its areas of specialization can be found various disciplines that allow to treat various pathologies, measure physiological conditions through various mechanisms in particular and allow the creation of images that facilitate the diagnosis and prevention of various diseases, among its most prominent fields are:

Radiology, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Magnetic Resonance, Radiotherapy, among others.

Its recognition as a branch of medicine is relatively young, so that only a handful of universities seek the training of medical physicists among their health specialists.

for example; here in Venezuela the specialization is only given in the Venezuelan institute of scientific research (IVIC) and in the central university of venezuela (university of caracas)

Thank God I could do my internships in the area, here in my hometown (maracaibo) and I did not have to travel to Caracas for it xD

Today, together with some classmates, we set out to create a new community service project at the university where we studied (University of Zulia) where we plan to go to communities, hospitals and clinics to promote our knowledge in the area and raise awareness the pros and cons of these treatments that give us the union of physics with medicine in human health.
